A: The link will take you to page with heaps of suggestions. At this late stage chose something that isn’t too long with but don’t choose the easiest thing around either.

Little Miss Sunshine worked well for some last year. There is also material on the blog that may help.

The Harry Potter novels are quite good.
Other suitable texts I’ve heard people have used are the Tomorrow Series (“Tomorrow When The War Began”), some Simpsons episodes, Pirates of the Caribbean movies, that ‘Lovewrecked’ movie, teh song ‘Yellow Submarine’ ?? not sure about that one….
Also look at the covers of novels… the images can allude to the notion of travel.

These are great reads and viewing but maybe not as substantial as more realistic texts for the Area of Study. It’s a good idea to pick texts that don’t match the prescribed text but do connect with it in some way. Texts that deal with real life issues are good too. If you use images you need to be strong on visual literacy and you need to choose images of substance. Images may seem easy but may not be the wisest choice if you are looking for a quick way out.
