If you use the same word (journeys) or phrase (physical journeys etc) over and over it becomes meaningless and it doesn’t show the best understanding of the concepts. Here are words you can use from The Oxford Dictionary and Thesaurus. Each has a distinct connotation and will give more variety to your expression when combined approriately:

  • Journey: expedition, voyage, passage, flight, wandering, odyssey, pilgrimage
  • physical: of the body, material, natural, oncrete, tangible, solid, substantial, real, actual, visible
  • imaginative: visionary, inspired, creative, inventive, resourceful, original, ingenious, innovative, unorthodox, unconventional, fanciful, whimsical
  • inner: inside, close to the centre, mental, spiritual, private, interior, innermost, exclusive, restricted, hidden, secret, deep, intellectual, psychological, spiritual, emotional
